UP officials to stop using blue beacon

Emulating Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi, the chairman of the three authorities in Gautam Budh Nagar, Rama Raman, has decided to stop using the blue beacon on his official vehicle from Monday.

To end the VIP culture, Raman has also asked his officers to abstain from using red or blue beacons on their vehicles. This is probably the first step in Uttar Pradesh taken by a babu to stop the ‘laal batti’ culture.
