UP records highest single day spike with 4.5k fresh Covid-19 cases

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): Uttar Pradesh in last 24 hours has recorded its highest single-day spike of 4,586 COVID-19 cases.

While there have been 61 deaths due to the disease, the case tally has climbed to over 1.08 lakh, officials informed on Thursday.

As of date there are 43,654 active cases in the state whereas the death toll of Uttar Pradesh due to Covid-19 is at 1,918.

State Health Department has also said that a total of 63,402 have been discharged in the state so far.

Meanwhile, it has come to light today that convalescent plasma therapy didn’t show benefit in reducing mortality risk among #COVID19 patients, according to interim analysis of randomised controlled trial at AIIMS Delhi to assess efficacy of this mode of treatment.
