GIMS holds a unique position in Uttar Pradesh as the first and only government hospital in the state to receive both NABH and NABL accreditation. These accreditations are considered significant milestones, reflecting the institute’s commitment to maintaining high standards in clinical and non-clinical practices, patient safety, and quality assurance. They also mark an important step toward institutional capacity building and continuous quality improvement.

The inspection began with a detailed presentation on GIMS by Brigadier (Dr.) Rakesh Gupta, Director, GIMS. He outlined the institute’s vision and mission, emphasizing its focus on providing affordable and quality healthcare to all sections of society. He also highlighted GIMS’s role in delivering professional medical education and promoting multidisciplinary research.
Following the briefing, the state inspection team visited various departments and facilities across the hospital campus. According to officials, the inspection team found the overall functioning of the institute and the quality of services to be highly satisfactory.
The inspection team was accompanied during the visit by Dr. Saurabh Srivastava, Chief Medical Superintendent, Dr. Atul Gupta, and Col. Brij Mohan, Medical Superintendent, along with other senior officials.
