Urvashi Dholakia apologises to Anita Hassanandani on National Television

Mumbai, June 6 (IANS) Actress Urvashi Dholakia seems to have become emotional as she apologized to her good friend and star Anita Hassanandani on national television.

The upcoming episode of Tum Ho Naa will witness an emotional moment as Urvashi opens up about balancing work, family, and friendships, whilst also making a deeply personal apology to Anita for not being a part of her wedding, and prioritising work over a very important day of her BFF’s life.

Urvashi said, “Ab jaise maine aapko bataya mere pass jara bhi wakt nahi tha, na mai apne baccho ko wakt de paai, na kisi cheez ko vakt de paai. Mera focus bass yahi tha ki kaam karo, paise kamao, ghar chalao, parents ko acchi life dedo, baccho ko life dedo vo bhi acchi wali.” (As I told you, I hardly had any time at all. I couldn’t give time to my children, nor could I give time to anything else. My only focus was to work, earn money, run the household, give my parents a good life, and provide my children with a good life as well)

She further revealed, “Uss process mai ek cheez ka mujhe regret nahi bolungi, par mujhe aaj tak bura lagta hai ki I still remember, Anita ki jab shaadi hui tab I couldn’t go, because I was working. Meri life thodi alag hi rahi hai mai kaam se ghar aur ghar se kaam.” (In that process, I wouldn’t call it a regret, but it still makes me feel bad to this day. I still remember that when Anita got married, I couldn’t attend because I was working. My life has been quite different, I would just go from work to home, and from home back to work)

Getting emotional, Urvashi added, “And I am really sorry, dil se, that I missed your most precious day. Kyuki iske saath maine itna time bitaya hai ‘Kabhi Sautan Kabhi Saheli.’ Hum sab apni apni life mein busy ho jate hai. Ye kabhi bolne ka mauka nahi mila. Today, that I remember it, I am extremely sorry, but I am always going to be there for you.” (And I am really sorry, from the bottom of my heart, that I missed one of the most precious days of your life. Because I have spent so much time with her during Kabhi Sautan Kabhi Saheli. We all get busy with our own lives. I never got the opportunity to say this before. Today, as I remember it, I am extremely sorry. But I am always going to be there for you)

The emotional moment became even more special when actress Anita Hassanandani praised Urvashi for being an inspiration both professionally and personally. Recalling their first show together, Anita shared, “Mera jo pehla show tha woh Urvashi Dholakia ke saath tha, ‘Kabhi Sautan Kabhi Saheli,’ aur tabhi main bhi young thi. Toh, you know, aap jo itni mehnat karte hain aur aap nazarandaaz kar dete hain, because you are busy doing your thing. Toh maine in shabdon mein ye kaha nahi hai ki you are extremely inspiring, aap se bohot kuch seekha hai.”

(My first show was with Urvashi Dholakia , Kabhi Sautan Kabhi Saheli, and I was quite young at the time as well. You know, when you’re working so hard, you often don’t realize the impact you’re having because you’re busy doing your own thing. So, I may not have said it in so many words, but you are extremely inspiring, and I have learned a great deal from you)

Urvashi Dholakia also reflected on how people often misunderstand the emotional struggles actors go through behind the scenes. Urvashi said, “Aaj-kal problem yeh bhi ho gai hai, reason why hum mai se koi khuch jyada bolta bhi nahi hai ki band kitaab jisko aap bolte hai vo isliye bhi hai ki, hum kuch bolenge to log bolte hai ye views ke liye hai, sympathy ke liye hai, hum nahi bhi bolenge, toh bolenge hum akdu hai. They don’t understand kya struggles hote hain, koi comparison hi nahi hai kisika. It looks very glamorous, but it is so not glamorous.”

(These days, the problem is that no matter what we do, people have something to say. One reason many of us choose not to speak much and remain like a closed book is that if we share something, people say we’re doing it for views or sympathy. And if we don’t say anything, they call us arrogant. What people don’t understand is the kind of struggles we go through. Everyone’s journey is different, and there’s no comparison. From the outside, it may look very glamorous, but in reality, it is far from glamorous)

Anita further added that the way Urvashi balances her family and children beautifully is something she deeply admires. Filled with inspiring stories, emotional revelations, and heartfelt admiration, the episode celebrates strength, resilience, and the silent sacrifices behind success.
