Greater Noida News (19/04/2026): The Government of Uttar Pradesh has unveiled the draft of the Unified Building Regulations 2026 aimed at standardizing construction norms across industrial development authorities in the state. The proposed regulations have been opened for public consultation, inviting feedback from stakeholders, industry experts, developers, and citizens.
Issued by Invest UP under the Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department, the draft framework is designed to bring uniformity, transparency, and ease of compliance in building regulations across multiple industrial regions.
According to the public notice, the proposed regulations will be implied across all notified industrial development areas in Uttar Pradesh. This includes key authorities such as NOIDA, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA), Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA), Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA), and Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), along with any future industrial authorities established in the state.
Officials stated that the initiative aims to streamline approval processes, eliminate regulatory overlaps, and create a more investor-friendly ecosystem. By introducing a unified code, the government intends to simplify building norms for industries and developers, thereby promoting faster project execution and boosting industrial growth.
Invest UP has encouraged all concerned stakeholders—including residents, industrial units, architects, planners, and developers—to actively participate in the consultation process. Their inputs will play a crucial role in refining the draft and ensuring that the final regulations are practical, inclusive, and aligned with ground realities.
Suggestions and feedback can be submitted online through the official Nivesh Mitra portal within 15 days from the date of publication of the notice.
