“Vartman Ko Vardhaman Ki Avashyakta Hai”, says MP Manoj Tiwari on Mahavir Jayanti

New Delhi, 14th April 2022: On Thursday, Akhil Bharatiya Bhagwan Mahaveer Nirvanotsav Samiti and Sakal Jain Samaj, New Delhi celebrated 2621th Mahavir Janam Jayanti at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The event was graced by multiple ministers and MPs including Manoj Tiwari, Meenakshi Lekhi, V. K. Singh, Dr Harsh Vardhan, Indresh Kumar among many others.
In their address, Dr Harsh Vardhan, Meenakshi Lekhi, Monoj Tiwari and other speakers described the glory of Lord Mahaveer. They stated that even though he was born human, it was his mission to spread knowledge about truth, courage, non-violence and greed-free life. “Now, about hundreds of years later, we are celebrating his birth because we value his teachings, learnings, and his personality.”
Manoj Tiwari, Member of Lok Sabha enlightened the audience with his poem, “Vartman Ko Vardhaman Ki Avashyakta Hai”. He said in this poem that the violence-stricken world can be brought relief by someone like Lord Mahaveer who believed that non-violence is the supreme duty and taught us the values to live our lives.
Meenakshi Lekhi explained that the society should be free from bad practices. “There should be unity amongst the people”. In the end of the speech, she also mentioned that the “people who had accepted the dharma and united were kshatriyas which was proven true by Acharya Pragya Sagar Maharaj”.
Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh were unable to attend the event and had sent their prayers virtually. “Lord Mahaveer inspired and motivated people to live a healthy and positive life. I am grateful to him as his teachings give direction and meaning to our lives”, said Nitin Gadkari.
Towards the end of the closing ceremony, Acharya Pragya Sagar Maharaj enunciated that if a person is forced to do something, they will not do it competently but when an individual does something putting their heart to it, their efforts turn out fruitful. “Mahaveer is the only one who can make India, the superpower. We accept his values, pledging to spread his teachings amongst the people of India,” said Acharya Pragya Sagar Maharaj.
