Press Statement issued by BJP National Secretary, Shri Sidharth Nath Singh

Violence has no place in democracy. It is unfortunate that in Bengal violence has become a normal norm since the state government encourages acts of violence.

The attack on BJP HQ in Kolkata by TMC sponsored goons today is a direct reflection of Mamata Banerjee’s policy of promoting violence in the state. Mamata Banerjee and TMC should ponder why two of their elected representatives were arrested  by CBI?

The mob which gathered at BJP HQ in Kolkata were reported by section of media being led by local TMC MLA and Councellor. BJP condemns the attack and also reminds Mamata Banerjee that she is responsible for the law and order in the state. Bengal Police which was present when stone pelting started remained a silent spectator. The Kolkata Police HQ which is 5 mins away did not send reinforcement for almost 30 mins. It clearly shows that violence unleashed on BJP today has blessings of the TMC administration.

It is stressing but not surprising to see how a leader like Mamata Banerjee, seeing a dip in her popularity is engaging in theatrics to stay relevant. She has converted All India Trinamool Congress to All India Theatrics Congress. Didi, we want to humbly ask you, “Don’t you feel ashamed and embarrassed that your party MP has been caught in a case of cheating the poor of your state?” History will remember that Sharada, Narada & Rose Valley scams are the 3 main contributions of Mamata Banerjee to West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee came to power in the name of poor, marginalized and downtrodden. But now she only cares for the corrupt and anarchists.

Mamata Banerjee must introspect why TMC leaders are involved in chit fund scams. and she must understand that through violence TMC leaders cannot be obsolved of corruptions.
