New Delhi, 10th July 2023: The tenure of Vivek Singh, Officer on Special Duty to Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, has been terminated on personal grounds, according to an office memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
According to the DoPT decision dated July 5, the Department of Expenditure issued an office memorandum on this on June 21, and the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) had authorised it.
ACC had already approved Singh’s appointment as OSD to Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister for four years from the date of assumption of charge, or on a co-terminus basis with the minister, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest, in January 2022. He was previously FM’s additional PS.
