Uttar Pradesh, February 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing in a public rally in Kanpur Dehat on Monday said that the voter turnout in second phase polling in Uttar Pradesh points at BJP returning to power again.
PM Modi said, “Voting turnout in second phase polling in Uttar Pradesh points at BJP returning to power again.”
Earlier on Monday, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in an interview with ANI also expressed confidence of BJP forming the state government again by securing over 300 seats in the 403-seat legislative assembly.
The second phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls are underway and the state has reported a voter turnout of 23.03% till 11 am according to the election commission of India.
Altogether 55 assembly constituencies are going through the polls in the second phase covering nine districts of Saharanpur, Bijnor, Amroha, Sambhal, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Budaun and Shahjahanpur.
