The Karni Sena Chief Lokendra Singh Kalvi said on Saturday evening that it is true that they have failed to ban the movie due to the lack of political will but they will continue the fight through ‘Janta Curfew’ (Social boycott).

“People, theater owners have rejected the movie after the release. The film which has released is not the same Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted to release. We won the battle on this front,” claimed Karni Sena chief Lokendra Singh Kalvi during a press conference at Press Club of India.

He claimed, “Out of 4318 movie theaters in northern India, only 48 theater owners have been screening the movie, it is our win. However, we have failed to convince theater owners of Mumbai region but our organisation will continue to convince them. Jo theater owner film dikha rahe hai main unse anurodh karuga ke is paap ke bhagi na bane.”

Clearing the air over Gurugram school bus fire, he said, “The incident was disappointing but I can bet on that Karni Sena men are not behind it.”

Without taking name of the conspirators, he indicated that both bike barons were worn the cloths of Reliance fresh. “I have a proof that both bike-baron youths were wearing the t-shirt of Reliance fresh and Reliance Fresh was printed on the bike.”

He further said, “We are ready to for any high level investigation in this matter.”

Replying to a question of over the constant violence in the country and its losses Karni Sena chief Kalvi said, “CBFC and Sanjay Leela Bhansali is responsible for all the violence. If he had agreed on our terms this would not happen.”

“We have also offered Sanjay Leela Bhansali and producers of the movie to pay all the expenditure of the film and handover all the rights to us but it gone into deaf years,” Kalvi added.

Pointing over the censor board’s certification process he alleged, “CBFC had neglected the views of special committee comprised by (historians and predecessors of Padmavat) which was formed to certify the movie.”
