New Delhi: As Nation celebrates 149th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi today. PM Narendra modi and UN Chief António Guterres attended the culmination of Mahatma Gandhi International Sanitation Convention in New Delhi.

PM Narendra Modi launched the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan’ to commemorate the Father of the Nation’s 150th birthday. On the occasion PM Modi said, The Mahatma Gandhi International Sanitation Convention is a milestone programme, which has brought together stakeholders from all over the world, adding strength to the movement towards global sanitation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressing the gathering at Global Sanitation Convention on the occasion of Swachh Bharat Diwas said,

“The Mahatma Gandhi International Sanitation Convention is a milestone programme, which has brought together stakeholders from all over the world, adding strength to the movement towards global sanitation. Political leadership, public funding, partnerships and people’s participation is the four mantras for making the world cleaner.”

He further said, “Political leadership, public funding, partnerships and people’s participation is the four mantras for making the world cleaner, So many countries coming together for a cleanliness campaign is an unheard of event. I pay tribute to Bapu on everyone’s behalf. With the blessings of 130 crore Indians, the country has made remarkable strides in cleanliness and sanitation.”
