Woman killed as balcony collapses

Ghaziabad: A 22-year-old woman was killed on Wednesday when the balcony she was standing on collapsed in Mustafabad. Police said the woman’s family interred her body before an autopsy and also refused to lodge a complaint.

According to police, the balcony where Gulistaan was standing had no railings. A brittle cemented portion of the first-floor balcony collapsed, bringing her down with it.

“The woman’s elder brother was also injured in the accident. A police team reached the spot after receiving information about the accident but the family refused to lodge a complaint. No FIR has been registered,” said Loni SHO A P Singh.
