WORKSHOP FOR THE DELHI BJP COUNCILLORS

Two day Workshop for the Delhi BJP Councillors started at Constitution Club today. This program was divided in five sessions which were addressed by the National Organization General Secretary Shri Ramlal, Delhi BJP Incharge and MP Shri Prabhat Jha, Central Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari and specialist of municipal corporation affairs Shri Dharamrajan. All the three Mayors of Municipal Corporations, Leaders of the Houses, Chairpersons of the Standing Committees and Councillors participated in the Workshop.

Workshop was inaugurated by the National Vice President and MP Shri Prabhat Jha by lighting lamp.

In his inaugural address, BJP Delhi Incharge Shri Prabhat Jha explained about the objectives of the Workshop and said that first of all we are party workers and only after that elected as Councillors with the help of the party. Hence, every Councillor should be aware of the policies and the principles of the party. He said that the Councillors are the first step of democratic system because most the people have to contact you for their various works. We should fulfill the expectations of the people.

National Organization General Secretary Shri Ramlal said that we are serving our country and the society through the Municipal Corporations. We can win the hearts of the people with the help direct dialogue with them. Public contact is very essential for progress in political life. We should always work to connect the people with the party with the help of our behavior, contact and works. He said that you are the representative of BJP and you must be aware of your responsibilities and duties.

In his address, the Central Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari presented the vision of total development of Delhi before the Councillors and said that the Councillors are the first elected soldiers of the party and on the one hand their work directly impacts the people and on the other hand benefits of many important schemes of the Central Government reach to the people with the help of the Councillors.

The specialist on municipal laws Shri Dharamrajan and senior leader of the party and Councillor Shri Subhash Arya explained about the rights and duties of the Councillors under the Municipal Acts and suggested solutions of various problems.
