World’s Most, Exclusive Vintage & Classic Beauties come together at the World’s Most High-tech, Buddh International F1 Racing Track, Greater Noida

Noida roads witnessed the most admired vintage & classic cars from various parts of India and other nations on 7th February, 2016, as these beauties cruised through, towards the BIC

Noida/ Greater Noida 7th Feb 2016: The 6th edition of 21 Gun Salute Vintage Car Rally &Concours Show, for the first time hosted such a pleasure of having exquisite treasures on wheels at the most hi-tech Formula 1 racing track, Greater Noida.

Each spectator at the 21 Gun Salute International Vintage Car Rally &Concours show witnessed a fine exhibit and enthralling category races of motorized beauties of the by-gone era, on the second day of this 2-day mega event. This show was a live opportunity to look into the royal past, the evolution of motoring and to experience the automobile technology of early 19th century amidst the rich heritage of the gorgeous vintage machines that raced as a symbol of pride, luxury, beauty and rare technical excellence, of their era.

Cultural Performances like Kathak, Kathakali, Bharatnatyam, BrajLoknrutya, Bhangra &Gudumbaja performed in between category races was visual magic – absolutely stunning, these cultural & classical performances enthused a whiff of history, heritage & culture on the race tracks of the hi-tech Formula 1, racing track.

The ceremonial drive of all participating cars followed by Controlled Speed Race of Pre War Cars, Post-War cars, Classic Cars, War Vehicles that included Jeeps & weapon cars, was a very interesting watch. Also, the Controlled Speed Race of Desirable Small Cars like Mini Austin, BMW Isetta, Austin Chummy, Austin 7, Austin Morris was absolutely enthralling & captivating. Thorough focus on technical expertise, color & beauty, the vintage & classic motorcycles also added an element of fascinating glory.

The 6th edition of 21 Gun Salute International Vintage Car Rally & Concours Show 2016 has definitely surpassed all the vintage events in the country in terms of the presence of vintage cars from all key states of India and the rarest of the rare vintage jewels one can find here. Also very first time vintage cars racing happened at F1 Racing Track”.

Handpicked vintage, classic, pre & post war cars from home & abroad raced their way on the Formula 1 racing track. The International beauties like the MAYBACH SW 38 1937, Horch 780 Cabriolet, 1959, Lister Costin Jaguar, 1933 Jaguar SS1 Coupe, JAGUAR XK 120, Mercedes 630 Murphy, Rolls Royce – Silver Ghost and many more saloons and convertibles from the imperial houses of Rolls Royce, Stutz, Buick, Ford, Chevrolet, Austin Martin and Bentley were the center of attraction.

Vintage & Classic Cars like the 1939 Mercedes TYP 230 from Jaipur, Jaguar Mark V, 1949 from Ahemadabad, 1935 Bentley along with 1938 Cadillac Series 90 & 1935 Rolls Royce Phantom II Continental from Mumbai, 1929 Mercedes Nurberg from Bangalore, Merecedsbenz cabriolet 1935 from Rajkot, 1923 ROLLS ROYCE from Kolkata, 1966 Jaguar MK II from Chennai, Dodge 1940-7 Seater limo from Pune and so many other cars from different parts of the country, formed an impressive fleet.

The handpicked masterpieces of the bygone era and the magnificent display of rich heritage of India through various cultural performances, enthralled the spectators.The event also saw experts from the USA, UK, France and Germany coming to India. The esteemed jury panel had eminent personalities from around the world that included, Mrs. Sandra Button – The Queen of Concours, Mr. Martin E. Button – Member of the Selection Committee for the Pebble Beach Concoursd’Elegance, Mr. Marco Makaus – an extolled name in the automotive industry, Mr. Claus Mueller – the German Representative Ambassador for the 21 Gun Salute International Car Rally &Concours Show’ since 2015, Mr. Douglas Fox – Secretary of the Malaysia-Singapore Vintage Car Club, Mr. Wolfgang Blaube – A very famous German Motor Journalist, Mr. Paul Wood& Mr. Andrew Wood – Founder P & A Wood and Mr. Regis Mathieu – A restoration specialist.
