Patriiotic songs were sung by S.D. Singh, famous singer- known for rendering songs by Mohd. Rafi in his melifluous voice. The atmosphere at WOW was charged with patriotic fervour as one could see the visitors too singing, “Mera Rang de Basanti Chola, Mai Rang de basanti chola….”, “Ae mere watan ke logon,” “Jahan daal daal par sone ki chidiya, who Bharat desh hai mera,” to name a few. The Great India Place too had a huge tricolor at the Star Atrium forming a huge canopy under which a statue of Mahatma Gandhi was placed. The Hills Piper band played outside the TGIP and took out a parade, marching past the TGIP and circling WOW.
