Yogi Adityanath sets target, says Uttar Pradesh will be Open Defecation-Free by October 2018

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today said that his government will soon make the state open defecation (ODF) free. Speaking on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Day in Lucknow, he said that by the end of this year, at least 30 districts will be made defecation free, and remaining part of the state by October 2018. "We have set the target to declare 30 districts ODF till Dec 31, 2017, and entire UP till Oct 2018", he said.
