Youth cheated in the name of ‘green card’

Ajmer: A youth who came to enquire about admission procedure at Ajmer was cheated by two people on Sunday at the railway station who took away his purse. The youth made a complaint to police who detained the accused and registered a case against Jitendra (24) and Sunder (40), both residents of Ghaziabad.On Sunday, 18 years old Vimal Vajpayee of Sitapur district of UP, he reached the railway station at about 3 pm where he met two people. “These accused told me that to get a ticket it is important to make a green card at the platform,” the victim told the police.The victim added that both accused started argument on the cost of green card and later one of them said that he should give the purse and they would take the money as per the norms to bring the card.When the accused were taking the purse of Vimal, he raised an alarm.

TNN and went to search the police on platform.Constable Mansingh and Sumer Singh of government railway police (GRP) were on duty and when Vimal made the complaint about the accused, they started the search on platform. Police found both Jitendra and Sunder near the exit gate, from whom they seized Vimal’s purse. “We have registered a case of cheating and arrested the accused,” the police said..
