Yulu ties up with Zomato to provide EVs for food delivery

New Delhi (India), 5th April 2023: An electric mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) company called Yulu announced a partnership with Zomato to provide Yulu DeX EVs for intra-city transportation. The delivery staff of Zomato will be provided between 25,000 and 35,000 Yulu DeX EVs on rent.

The firm said in a statement, “Rising fuel prices and financial challenges are significant barriers for youth who want to onboard themselves as delivery partners. Yulu DeX solves most of these challenges, and provides a mobility solution that is very easy to access for all. ”

Pradeep Puranam, Head, Revenue & Operations, Yulu commented on the situation and said, “Our solutions can improve earnings of delivery partners by up to 40%. There is an increasing desire towards reducing carbon footprint among customers as well, so this is a win-win for customers, delivery executives and both the companies.”

Zomato’s COO for food delivery, Mohit Sardana, stated that in collaboration with Yulu , they are on the right path and as a part of The Climate Group’s EV100 initiative, they have committed to transitioning their delivery fleet to 100% electric.
