New Delhi, Nov 19, 2022: Food ordering app Zomato has confirmed that it be laying off nearly 3% of its staff across the nation. This comes soon after a multitude of tech giants and social media sites across the globe which have decided to lay off their employees.
Currently, the company at present is equipped with nearly 3,800 employees. It had last laid off about 520 of their employees which makes up about 13% of its staff, in May 2020 due to the slump in business following the covid pandemic.
The company expressed that layoffs will occur on the basis of regular performances.
The layoffs come soon after three top level resigned from the company in the last couple weeks.
On Friday, Zomato’s co- founder Mohit Gupta had also quit the organisation.
