Accidents kill 7 on Yamuna e-way

MATHURA/NOIDA: Seven persons died in three accidents on the Yamuna Expressway between Sunday night and Monday morning. In the first accident, Umesh Chandra Singh, Nakul Shukla, Manoj Kumar Singh and Diyanshu � all employees of HT Media Ltd � were in a Maruti Swift on their way to Lucknow, when it veered out of control after a tyre burst 5km before the toll plaza near Surir in Mathura around 11.30pm. “Primary probe suggests the front right tyre burst when the car was being driven at high speed,” said a senior police official. “It jumped the divider and was hit by a Tata Aria on the reverse carriageway.”
