New Delhi :– On the second day of National Traders Conference, traders passed a resolution to boycott the plastic ban imposed by the state governments because of its flaws.

Speaking on the issue National President of Conference of All India Traders (CAIT), who has also researched on plastic ban in Maharashtra said, “The current law is a joke. Government bans use of poly bags by shopkeeper but making raid on their shops, however, allowing Liquor Company to use plastic.”

In an asserting tone, he further said that if government really wants to save environment from hazardous plastic, then, seal the plastic manufacturing factories not shops.

“There should be a uniform law for plastic ban in the country and government should define plastic ban first. Without creating alternatives, how can government ban plastic and impose fine on the shopkeepers?”
