A panel discussion was organized on addressing Concerns of online content at ongoing India Digital Summit organized by Internet and Mobile Association of India in New Delhi.
The panel was moderated by NDTV consulting editor Vikram Chandra and had leading players of online platforms as speakers.
Prabh Singh, head of content and revenue at Hotstar said, “Oniline community’s concern regarding monetization of content is justified however it is important to understand that monetization in online follows eyeballs. If we can create and offer content that drives users, we can certainly work towards monetization as well”.
Nalin Mehta, executive editor of TOI added, “online users are very diversified and so is their demands. Catering to them can be challenging and rewarding at the same time, however there is no denying that online is here to stay and will be crucial in coming times”.
