MSME Digital Portal Launched

NEW DELHI : Minstry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises today launched an online portal as a part of Digital MSME Scheme at New Delhi.

The occasion also saw exchange of MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) between the government and three IT companies, viz, Intel, HMT and SAP India

The digital MSMEportal was launched by the union minister MSME Kalraj Mishra.

Speaking on the occasion, union mister said, “The Digital MSME scheme would further boost Ministry’s efforts towards making the Digital India Mission successful. The registration which would otherwise take you month is now a few clicks away.”

The Digital MSME Scheme is based on Cloud Computing, which is cost-efficient and viable alternative in comparison to in-house IT infrastructure installed by MSMEs. In Cloud Computing, MSMEs use the internet to access common as well as tailor-made IT infrastructure including software for managing their business process.

“The digital MSME scheme will encourage MSMEs to adapt Cloud Computing and ICT (Information and Communication Technology)
