National Alliance for Women demands passage of Women’s Reservation Bill in Monsoon Parliamentary Session

National Alliance for women’s Reservation bill, consisting more than 1600 women’s organisations, today held a press conference at press club, New Delhi to press for that passage of the women’s reservation bill in the parliament in the Monsoon session of the Parliament, which starts July 17, 2017

The activists demands that 50% of the seats in the parliament be reserved for the women. “It is very important for the political empowerment of the women in the country,” an activist said.

“Through this press conference, we want to send the mess to Speaker Lok Sabha, Minister of Parliamentary affiars, Minister of Law and Justice, parliamentarians and office bearers of the political parties that this is the right time to table the bill in parliament,” activists said.
