​EC denies hackathon, challenges to prove EVM tampering in previous elections

(12/05/2017) New Delhi : Election commission today conducted an all party meet to discuss and reply to charges of EVM tampering levied by different political parties such as AAP and BSP. 

After attending the meeting Aam Aadmi party leader Manish Sisodia said, “Election commission has denied our request of conducting a hackathon. They have although said that they will provide an opportunity to prove hacking in previous elections”.
He further said that we have made three demands to EC which can make the election process stronger and tamper proof.
Elaborating these demands he said, “Aam Aadmi Party has these three demands :
1. Organize hackathon as well as an open challenge to prove EVM tampering in previous elections. 
2. Use VVPAT machine in all future elections and make it mandatory to count and match 25% of VVPAT slips.
3. Make political funding completely transparent. Stop provisions of backdoor corporate funding”.
