100 farmers booked for assaulting staff deployed at Jewar toll plaza on Yamuna Expressway

Greater Noida : An FIR has been registered against more than 100 unidentified farmers allegedly involved in assaulting staff and damaging public property at Jewar toll plaza on Yamuna Expressway. Police have started taking action against the farmers involved in the incident by identifying them through CCTV footages.
SHO Jewar Police Station, said, “Nodal officer Ishwar Singh deployed at the toll plaza had filed a complaint regarding the incident. The complaint mentions around 100 people, including Sanjay Kasana, Ashok, Sachin, Narendra Bhati and Naresh, who reached the Jewar Toll Plaza under the banner of Bharatiya Kisan Union (Ambavata) on Friday. All these people abused and assaulted staff posted there.”
“We had resisted an FIR and launched the investigation in the incident,” he added. While the accused whose names are mentioned in FIR have absconded, as per the reports.
