17-year-old stabbed to death during Ramleela celebration in Delhi, attackers flee

New Delhi, 7 October 2022: In the Jahangirpuri area, New Delhi, a 17-year-old kid was fatally stabbed on Wednesday in a scuffle during a Dussehra celebration.

The victim is identified as Shivam, a resident of Mukundpur who went to see the Ramleela. He got into a battle with three to four boys there and sustained many stab wounds.

The attackers fled the scene as he fainted in a pool of blood with the knife still lodged in his chest.

However, being transferred to the hospital, Shivam was declared brought dead. The father of the child has demanded strict action against the offenders. He said, ‘My son visited the Ramlila to witness it. The following year, he would have turned 18. The harshest penalties are what we desire for the guilty. They ought to be executed.”

The police have detained two suspects, Nitin and Sachin, and are looking for more.
