2 killed, 1 seriously injured in Eastern Peripheral Expressway accident following dense fog

Eastern Peripheral Expressway is consecutively witnessing sever road misshapes from the past couple of days due to dense fog engulfing the Expressway.

On Monday midnight under Dankaur police station, two people lost their life and one sustained serious injuries in a massive collision between two trucks. Victims were identified as Manoj (18) and Monu (21) both resident of Rajasthan. While the injured person Ravinder is been admitted in a Delhi based hospital for treatment.

Rajpal Singh Tomar SHO Dankaur told that “Both the trucks were commuting from Haryana to Delhi. Around 12 in midnight near Naurangpur village, the truck met with an accident.” The accident was so massive that it took hours for police personnel’s and villagers to rescues the drivers and conductors.

Due to the accident traffic remained disrupted for 4 hours on the freeway. On 4th February also a total of dozen vehicles got collided on the Expressway in a similar kind of mishap due to dense fog.
