23rd Foundation Day Celebrations of Ishan Group of Institutions held at Greater Noida
Ishan Educational Institutions celebrated its 23rd Foundation Day with cultural extravaganza amidst distinguished luminaries from the field of management education, bureaucracy, industry and media. Retired IAS Shri D.K.Gupta was the guest of honor on the occasion.
The proceedings of the day began in the traditional Indian way with paying obeisance to the Goddess of learning- Devi Saraswati. Speaking on the occasion the Chairman of the Institution Dr.D.K.Garg in his address expressed delight on students attaining important management positions in the industry. In his address he spoke of the rising realization on the virtues of ancient Indian wisdom on medical science, technology and the likes. The Chief Guest Shri D.K.Gupta, Retd. IAS in his address called for greater emphasis on learning of Indian social and family values.
Students of the Management & Architecture departments then showcased a cultural bonanza that included Odiya, Bengali, Punjabi, Rajasthani and western dances. On this occasion prizes were given away to deserving students of all departments of the Institutions for their performances during last one year. Among students of B.Com department, Akash Kumar won the topper’s prize while Praveen Kashyap, Aril Wadia, Anu Sharma, Himanshu and Ankita Tomar won prizes for cultural performances and event coordination. In the PGDM department, Surbhi Srivastava was given the topper’s prize while Rahul Kumar, Pawan Dubey, Abhishek Upadhyay, Jyotishman Sharma, Niddhi Mittal and Shilpa Singhal were given prizes for cultural programs. The volley ball team of Ishan Institute of Management & Technology consisting of Anirudh Yadav, Seven Bhati, Jitendra Bhati, Gaurav Bhati, Deepesh Mishra and Gejendra Yadav received prizes for bagging the third position in the inter-college volleyball competition held earlier this year. CA Mukesh Kumar Arya and CA Naveen Joshi were given prizes for class topper and academic excellence respectively from Law Department.
