59 Firms to Invest over ₹400cr in Medical Device Park in Gr. Noida

Greater Noida (UP), 1st May 2023: As many as 59 companies have been allocated land at the planned medical device park near Noida, and these enterprises will invest around Rs 415 crore in establishing their businesses, informed officials.

As per an official estimate these investments would also provide direct employment prospects for around 5,000 individuals.

The medical device park would be built on 350 acres along the Yamuna Expressway in Noida in the Gautam Buddh Nagar district.

A UP government official said, “The medical device park, which will be constructed on 350 acres in Gautam Buddh Nagar, will not only manufacture medical gadgets but will also offer a big number of employment opportunities.”

YEIDA also provided a list of medical devices that would be manufactured in the device park, namely:orthopedic implants, oxygen concentrator, anaesthesia needle and kit, anaesthesia work station, spinal implant, X-ray machine, endoscopic, gastrology medical device, biliary stent, ICU ventilator, ECG machine etc.

Along with this Trauma management implant, coronary stent, hemodialysis kit, heart-lung bypass kit, cancer care equipment, video colposcopic machine, chemotherapy device, radiology device, nuclear imaging device, intraocular lens, etc. will also be manufactured here.

Commenting on the development, YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh said, “The construction of two flatted factories by the authority to help industrialists with a low budget is an excellent initiative. It will also encourage small and medium enterprises to set up businesses, contributing to the medical device industry in the state.”

He further added, “It will boost employment opportunities and contribute to the economic development of the state.”
