With more than 3,000 exhibitors, 17 exhibition halls and 900 permanent showrooms, the fair is expected to attract buyers from nearly 100 countries. The event aims to strengthen India’s position in the global handicrafts market by facilitating direct business connections, promoting innovative product designs and opening new avenues for exports.
The exhibition comes at a time when Indian exporters are exploring new international markets, adapting to evolving consumer preferences and responding to increasingly stringent quality, sustainability and supply-chain requirements. By connecting manufacturers and artisans with international sourcing professionals, the fair is expected to generate business enquiries, encourage long-term commercial partnerships and enhance the global visibility of Indian craftsmanship.
16 Product Categories to Showcase India’s Handicraft Diversity
The 62nd IHGF Delhi Fair will present a comprehensive range of products spanning 16 major categories, including home décor, furnishings, furniture, fashion, textiles, interiors and lifestyle accessories. The exhibition will feature carpets and rugs, home linen, gifts and premium products, fashion jewellery, bags, lighting accessories, outdoor and garden products, kitchenware, bathroom accessories, toys and environmentally friendly products, among other categories.
The participating exhibitors will showcase products that combine traditional Indian craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics, innovative materials and modern manufacturing techniques. The collections are expected to cater to the changing requirements of international buyers seeking distinctive designs, reliable sourcing partners and products suited to diverse consumer markets.
The extensive exhibition space, supported by 900 permanent showrooms, will allow buyers to explore a broad selection of products, compare collections and interact directly with manufacturers. It will also provide exporters with an opportunity to present new designs, discuss customised orders and demonstrate their production capabilities to prospective business partners.
EPCH Chairman Highlights New Opportunities for Indian Exporters
EPCH Chairman Dr. Neeraj Khanna said the IHGF Delhi Fair had established itself as a trusted sourcing platform for Indian exporters and international buyers over the past three decades.
Expressing confidence in the Autumn 2026 edition, Dr. Khanna highlighted the fair’s role in facilitating meaningful business interactions, product matching and long-term trade partnerships. He also emphasised the importance of connecting artisans and manufacturers with global markets, noting that India’s rich craftsmanship and diverse product traditions remain key strengths of the handicrafts industry.
Dr. Khanna further highlighted the opportunities emerging from India’s trade agreements with countries and regions such as the United Arab Emirates, Australia, the United Kingdom, Oman, New Zealand and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA).
These agreements are expected to create additional opportunities for Indian exporters by improving market access and strengthening international trade relationships. According to EPCH, buyer registrations indicate sustained interest in Indian handicrafts, with European markets offering further scope for expanding the country’s export footprint.
The fair is expected to help participating businesses understand international sourcing requirements, establish new buyer connections and explore opportunities to diversify their export markets.
Traditional Craftsmanship and Contemporary Design to Take Centre Stage
Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chief Mentor, EPCH Director General and Chairman of India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML), said the IHGF Delhi Fair had played a significant role in promoting Indian craftsmanship and creating business opportunities for manufacturers, exporters and artisans since its inception in 1994.
The upcoming edition will showcase established handicraft collections alongside design-led products and innovative offerings from emerging enterprises. Special attractions will include trend display booths, regional craft presentations, selected handloom collections and products developed by handicraft entrepreneurs.
Artisans from northeastern India and other regions will present traditional techniques, distinctive regional products and craft forms that reflect the country’s cultural diversity. These displays will provide international buyers with an opportunity to discover products that combine heritage, skilled workmanship and contemporary design sensibilities.
The exhibition will also highlight the potential of India’s handicrafts sector to respond to changing global demand while preserving traditional skills and supporting artisan communities.
Young Designers Collective to Encourage Innovation
EPCH Vice Chairman Sagar Mehta said the fair would provide emerging designers with a dedicated platform through the Young Designers Collective.
The initiative will bring together designers who have studied at leading design institutions and established themselves in their respective fields. It aims to promote creative thinking, encourage innovation in product development and introduce fresh design perspectives while preserving India’s diverse craft traditions.
The initiative is expected to create opportunities for interaction between designers, manufacturers and buyers, encouraging collaboration across the handicrafts, home décor and lifestyle sectors. By bringing new ideas closer to established manufacturing capabilities, the platform aims to demonstrate how contemporary design can enhance the appeal and commercial potential of traditional Indian products.
Welcoming Committee Chairman Avdesh Agarwal said the fair would enable buyers to engage directly with a large network of exporters at a single venue. Buyers will be able to examine existing collections, explore newly developed products and discuss customised designs according to the requirements of their respective markets.
Exhibitors have prepared fresh collections for the upcoming business season, while the encouraging response to advance registrations has raised expectations of strong international participation.
AI, Global Market Trends and Export Regulations in Focus
Beyond product displays, the fair will feature knowledge sessions designed to help exporters understand emerging technologies, international market trends and changing regulatory requirements.
Welcoming Committee Vice Chairman Rajesh Kumar Jain said the sessions would address global buyer trends for 2027, anticipated demand across home décor, lifestyle, fashion and interiors, and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in production and sourcing.
The discussions will also examine strategies for converting online visibility into verified international orders, helping exporters strengthen their digital presence and develop more effective approaches to reaching overseas buyers.
Regulatory compliance will be another major focus, particularly for exporters targeting European markets. Sessions will cover the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), packaging compliance and supply-chain traceability.
Participants will also gain insights into opportunities arising from India’s free trade agreements, along with financial assistance and market-support programmes available to handicrafts exporters.
Craft demonstrations and cultural presentations will form an additional part of the programme, allowing visitors to experience India’s artistic traditions alongside its commercial offerings.

Buyers from the US, Europe, Asia and the Middle East Expected
EPCH Executive Director Rajesh Rawat said buyers from nearly 100 countries were expected to attend the fair, underlining its international reach and significance as a sourcing destination.
The anticipated international participation includes representatives from Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States, among other countries.
Several prominent international retailers and sourcing companies have confirmed their participation. These include Target, TJX Companies, Walmart Global Sourcing India Private Limited and HomeGoods from the United States; Chelsea Textiles and Pieces for Places from the United Kingdom; and Home Centre and Landmark Group from the UAE.
The participation of established international retail and sourcing businesses is expected to create opportunities for Indian exporters to present their products to potential buyers, explore new procurement arrangements and build long-term commercial relationships.
Buyers from other European, Asian and international markets are also expected to visit the exhibition to assess new collections, identify suppliers and explore products suited to their respective markets.
Leading Indian Retailers to Explore Procurement Opportunities
Domestic participation is also expected to remain significant, with companies including Aditya Birla Fashion, Archies, Bombay Swadeshi Stores, Chumbak Design, Fabindia, Lifestyle International, Lulu Group, Miniso Lifestyle, Reliance Retail, Shoppers Stop, Spencer Retail and Trent Limited among those expected to attend.
Their representatives will have an opportunity to evaluate new product ranges, identify potential suppliers and explore procurement opportunities across the fair’s various categories.
The participation of major domestic brands alongside international buyers is expected to broaden the commercial opportunities available to exhibitors. It will also enable manufacturers to explore business beyond their existing customer networks and identify potential partnerships across retail, distribution and lifestyle markets.
Direct engagement will allow buyers and suppliers to discuss product specifications, pricing, production capacity, delivery timelines and market-specific requirements, helping them assess the viability of future business arrangements.
International Promotional Campaign to Expand Global Reach
Welcoming Committee Vice Chairman Salman Azam said EPCH had undertaken buyer outreach initiatives in the United States, Greece, France, the Middle East and other international markets. These efforts included promotional activities and one-to-one meetings at major international exhibitions to generate interest among overseas buyers and encourage their participation in the Delhi Fair.
Welcoming Committee Vice Chairman Priyesh Bhandari said the council had also launched a wider international promotional campaign through digital advertising, international magazines, online portals, web banners, social media and outreach through Indian embassies abroad.
The initiatives aim to strengthen the visibility of Indian handicraft products, attract new international buyers and expand awareness of the IHGF Delhi Fair as a sourcing platform.
The expected visitor profile includes wholesalers, distributors, department stores, retailers, brand owners, buying houses, designers, trend forecasters, purchasing representatives and major domestic buyers.
Welcoming Committee Vice Chairman R. B. Lahoti said the organisers were focusing on making the sourcing process more efficient by facilitating smooth navigation, productive buyer-exhibitor interactions and quicker product selection.
Participating exporters have been encouraged to present their collections, production capabilities, delivery schedules and market-specific offerings clearly. The objective is to help convert initial discussions into serious business enquiries, confirmed orders and long-term sourcing relationships.

The export figure underlines the economic importance of India’s handicrafts sector, which connects skilled artisans, small enterprises, manufacturers and exporters with domestic and international markets. The industry also offers opportunities to preserve traditional skills while developing products that meet contemporary consumer requirements.
EPCH works to promote Indian handicrafts in international markets and strengthen the country’s reputation as a reliable supplier of quality handcrafted products. Through initiatives such as the IHGF Delhi Fair, the council seeks to connect exporters with global buyers, improve understanding of evolving consumer preferences and facilitate new business relationships.
