8 killed, 24 injured as Russian missiles hit Ukraine’s capital Kyiv

According to a Ukrainian official, at least eight people were killed and 24 more were injured after Russian missiles struck Kyiv.

On early Monday, a series of powerful explosions rocked Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv. According to the Associated Press, large explosions have been reported in Kyiv in response to the sound of approaching missiles. There were no reports of casualties at the time.

Explosions were also reported in Lviv, Ternopil, and Zhytomyr in western Ukraine, as well as Dnipro in central Ukraine, according to Reuters.

According to a spokeswoman for Kyiv’s Emergency Service, individuals have been murdered and injured. Rescuers are presently operating in several sites.
