Truck hits biker from behind, crushes him
Ghaziabad: A 34-year-old biker was crushed to death by a truck on NH-24 on Sunday. The accident happened near the Bypass police outpost.
The victim, Bunty, a resident of Chipiyana Buzurg, worked for a private firm in Ghaziabad. Cops said Bunty was driving towards Hapur when a truck travelling in the same direction hit him from behind. The truck, bearing a Haryana registration number has been seized. It was abandoned by its driver before he fled the a little distance ahead of the accident spot. The driver fled from the spot.
“Bunty died on the spot. We are trying to trace the absconding driver. after tracing the owner of the truck through its registration papers. A case will be registered in the matter,” said a police officer.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem and its results are awaited.
