#Bulandshahr rape: One accused from #Rabupura

Noida: One of the three accused men nabbed by the Bulandshahr police in the gang rape case is a resident of Rabupura area of Greater Noida who runs a tyre puncture shop with his brother, the police said.Residents of the area claimed that on the night of the gang rape, Jabar Singh was not seen in the village.Relatives of Jabar Singh, son of Ramu Singh, claimed that he was innocent and that he had gone to Khurja for some work.Meanwhile, members of a local outfit, Mahila Shakti Utthan Mandal, met SSP Dharmendra Yadav on Tuesday and handed over a memorandum addressed to chief minister Akhilesh Yadav.The outfit has requested the police to control the rising crime rate in Greater Noida.”Crime is on the rise in Greater Noida and the victims are not getting justice. The Bulandshahr case is an example of how the law is being flouted. We demand that the accused be nabbed soon and punished for the gruesome crime they have committed,” Rupa Gupta, president of the outfit, said.Also on Tuesday, about 200 locals led a candlelight march from a Ghaziabad colony to Noida’s Labour Chowk demanding justice for the Bulandshahr rape survivors..
