The application process for the NEET 2017 will end on the official website of NEET. Aspirants are required to note that they can pay fees through online modes from January 31, 2017 (Tuesday) to March 01, 2017 (Wednesday). It is also advisable for the aspirants to not wait for the verdict of Supreme Court, aspirants are required to apply before applications closes. The Supreme Court has issued notice to Union government and the Medical Council of India seeking their reply on the age criteria for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) for undergraduate courses.
The petition had demanded that the government to take their order back on the age limit where a candidate over 25-year-old cannot sit for the medical entrance exam. Aspirants are also required to note that for the selection and admission to MBBS/BDS seats in any Medical Institution recognized for offering MBBS/BDS Courses, aspirants are required to fulfill the admission criteria, eligibility, rank in merit list, medical fitness and such other criteria as may be prescribed by the Government of India, respective States, Universities and Medical/Dental Colleges.
Aspirants are required to note that the candidate’s eligibility for NEET (UG) is purely provisional and is subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria as prescribed by the MOH&FW/MCI/DCI/Board/MCC. In case of any ambiguity in interpretation of any of the instructions/terms/rules/criteria regarding determination of eligibility/conduct of examination/registration of candidates/information contained therein, the interpretation of the CBSE shall be final and binding. The entrance test of NEET will consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen provided by CBSE at examination centre only.
