FIR lodged against Amrapali CMD and Jaypee Directors for cheating home buyers

(o1/05/2017) : FIR’s have been registered by police against real estate developers Amrapali Group and Jaypee Group. CMD of Arapali Group Anil Sharma and three directors of Jaypee group have been named in the FIR.

The FIR against Amrapali CMD has been registered at Bisrakh police station, allegedly for duping hundreds of home buyers and failing to give them possession. Srikant Halder and Rajat Mittal have filed these FIR on Sunday. Police has registered the complaint under IPC 406 pertaining to criminal breach of trust and IPC 420 pertaining to cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property.

The FIR refers to Leisure Park project of Amrapali group which was scheduled for delivery in December 2013 but has failed to give even single delivery of flat so far.

FIR against Jaypee directors and other officials has been lodged in reference to Jaypee’s Aman project situated in sector-151. Allegedly 3,900 home buyers were scheduled to get possession of flats in 26 towers of this project by 2012 but even construction hasn’t completed yet.

Buyers claim to have paid 90%-100% cost of flat.

Police has said that necessary action will be taken against the accused and a thorough investigation will follow lodging of these complaints.
