IG Inspects Jewar Incident Site accompanied with Chairman, DM & SSP
IG Range Meerut Ram kumar spent close to one hour inspecting the site of Jewar robbery and gang rape incident. He was accompanied by all senior district officials including greater Noida and Yamuna Authority Chairman Dr. Prabaht Kumar, DM B N Singh and SSP Love Kumar.
He too stock of the place and discussed the scenario of incident with local people and regional police officers.
He also gave necessary instruction to increase patrolling on secluded roads and stretches.
It must be recalled that four women were allegedly raped and one man was sought dead in a robbery incident that took place near yamuna expressway in Jewar on Wednesday night.
IG Zone Meerut Ram Kumar has reiterated that different teams are continuously monitoring the situation and culpurits will be nabbed soon. He however refused to divulge the details of the investigation citing it to be an ongoing enquiry.
It has been more than 18 hours since the incidence and no one has been nabbed so far. Police has however investigated a few suspects but no arrests have been made in the case till time.
