NCDRC Issues Notice to Actress Twinkle Khanna for Misleading on Supertech Noida Project!

National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) has issued notice for allegedly promoting the Supertech ORB Residential Group Housing Project situated in Sector 74, Noida.
The petition was filed by seven flat buyers who want their money back as the project has been delayed. The notice has also been issued to Supertech Limited asking it as to why investors should not get their money back due to inordinate delay in giving possession.
The group of buyers also made Twinkle Khanna a party in the complaint alleging that she promoted the project and mislead buyers to invest in the luxury project. Twinkle Khanna prominently featured in the advertisements of this Supertech project.
As per the petition filed by buyers in the case, “Twinkle Khanna not only lent her name to the project but also actively participated in luring the flat buyers by openly declaring that the project has been mastermind by her. She is the architect and interior designer of the project. She advocated selling of the project and flat and thus she is also a service provider and the deficiency of service is also writ large on her part”.
The luxury housing project situated in sector 74 Noida was launched in 2012.
