Connectivity boost for region with inauguration of Eastern Peripheral and Meerut Expressway
Delhi NCR Region will receive better and smooth connectivity and congestion over roads is also expected to be reduced as PM Modi is all set to inaugurate the Eastern Peripheral Expressway and first phase of Delhi-Meerut expressway on Sunday.
The 135-km-long Eastern Peripheral Expressway, built at a cost of Rs 11,000 crore, will provide signal-free connectivity between Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Greater Noida and Palwal and will ultimately decongest the national capital.
After the inauguration ceremony of Delhi-Meerut expressway PM will hold a road show that might start from Akshardham temple on the expressway and can end just before the Delhi-UP border. However the exact route and time are not clear yet.
Later he will reach Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh by air to inaugurate Eastern Peripheral Expressway and will also address a public gathering as per the schedule.
