New Delhi: A day after hug poster of Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a message ‘to spread love not hate’ went viral on Mumbai streets, members of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee held a ‘free hug’ campaign at Connaught Place on Tuesday evening.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s unprecedented hug to PM Modi in the parliament after furious speech triggered a controversy across the nation. On one hand BJP is claiming it as Rahul Gandhi’s desperation to become PM, while Congress is projecting this to spread love and compassion.

Taking his party’s message forward, members of DPCC held free hug campaign in the national capital.

Speaking on the occasion, social media head of the DPCC Anirudh Sharma said, “We are carrying forward the message of our party and its president. His message is very clear to beat the hatred, we have to spread love, so, the incidents like mob lynching, mob attach can be avoided and people can leave peacefully.”er of Rahul Gandhi and PM Modi, congress supporters gave free hug to each other without chanting any slogans.
