Yoga competition organized at St. Josephs’ school Greater Noida, coordinated performances enthrall spectators

Today 1ST CISCE –UP and UK regional Yoga Competition was organized at St Josephs’ school Alpha 1 Greater Noida. Program began with welcome song “welcome this day” beautifully presented by students.

Seema Gupta Regional President of Bharatiya Yog Sansthan was the chief guest for the event and Dr Yash Parashar was the chief referee for the Yoga event along with different dignitaries who remained present throughout the event.

Briefing about the competition principal Fr Mathew Kumblumoottil said that competition has been categorized under three levels namely Zone level, Regional level and National level. Those who will qualify this level will get the chance to represent at international level under Khelo India program. For now we have different zonal level teams under Junior Level and Senior Level from Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur and Ghaziabad. Total of around 100 student participated in the competition.

Participants performed various Asanas in an impressive rhythmic manner creating a strong impact on the audience and left every one amazed. There after an acrobatic kind of dance performance was given by class 8th students over a patriotic song which was also largely applauded by the students.

At last results were declared in which under junior wing Ghaziabad and Kanpur were able to clinch gold medals in boys and girl’s category respectively while in senior wing Ghaziabad bagged the victory in both the categories. All the winners were facilitated by medals and trophies.

The dignitaries were are also facilitated with memento as a token of gratitude. Then amazing event concluded with vote of thanks.
