Tiwari called upon citizens to be cautious towards pollution and smog and urged use of masks while going out especially in the early hours of morning and to regularly clean nose and eyes.

Targeting Kejriwal, Tiwari said,

“Delhi is already feeling and witnessing it, a thick layer of smog has covered the city much before the arrival of winters this year. As a result of the toxic air. a large number of cases of respiratory ailments are being reported from people of all age groups. It is very unfortunate that the Delhi Government led by chief minister Arvind Kejriwal only remains a mute spectator to this serious health hazard Delhi is facing.”

He Further said, “In the last four years‘ the AAP government has failed to take any effective measures to curb air pollution in the national capital. The government’s inaction and the politics of blame game has caused irreparable loss to Delhi’s environment. Being administrative heads of Delhi’s premiere civic bodies, it is imperative upon you to step in to tackle air pollution. In view of the worsening situation, which is likely to aggravate after Diwali, I request you to ban all construction activities in the national capital with immediate effect.”

“On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modiji, rising above the party politics, appealed against stubble burning in fields in all states including those ruled by the BJP. I am hopeful that this will help save our environment,” added Tiwari.
