Sector 100, Community Centre not constructed despite budget and place approval, leaves residents dissappointed

Noida, (22/4/2019): Thousands of families living in Sector-100 of Noida are waiting since last 10 years for a community centre to be build. Two years ago, the venue has been fixed in Century Apartments and the budget was also released from Noida Authority. Despite this, there is no sign of a community center.
People living here have to pay more to the private banquet halls or other community community centre of different sectors for their functions and ceremonies. Sometimes, if you do not get the place, then it becomes compulsion to put a tent in the open.
Pawan Yadav, RWA President of the Century Apartment told that “The people living here had deposited the money for the community center and park before getting the flat from Noida Authority in 2008. That money was not used until today. Since 2011, people started living here. Since then, the RWA have made efforts to construct community center several times to Noida Authority. In 2017 the place was decided and approval for the budget was approved by former CEO of Noida Authority Amit Mohan. After this, the matter again went to the cold shelf”.
Some other residents said,
“I had to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and i have to get it organized in Sector-47 Community Center instead of our own sector. Even before taking a flat here, money for the community center and park were also given, but the Noida Authority have not been able to do so till today.
“Wedding anniversary or child’s birthday, we have to depend on the merit hall or the other community centers. We want all the facilities in our sector. The authority should make a community center as soon as possible”.
“When we have paid for every facility before taking the flat, why are we not getting that facility? It’s been so many years, Many times the voice has been raised about this issue, but till date nothing has come out”.
This problem is somehow similar to the problem of sector 51 metro station’s name issue, which was only a small problem for a listener, but the residents can understand it better because they are the one who face problems because of these issues. However, Noida Authority officials seems too busy to take concern of these issues.
