Rain lashes Greater Noida, citizen face waterlogging, civic woes

Greater Noida: Tuesday’s heavy rains made Greater Noida citizens come face to face with many civic issues as large parts of the city were submerged in water and people had to face waterlogging on many roads.
Since morning Photos of waterlogging from separate parts of the city started floating on social media. People took to Twitter to express their anger, one twitter one of the user-posted some pictures and wrote “It’s our Flat and it’s our society. Are we humans or not. Where are we all living? In STP/ drains? All are mute spectators”


Alok Nagar RWA beta II shared some pictures of waterlogging in sectors captioning “Greater Noida Sectors got flooded”.
A video on social media showed how the posh Paramount Golf Foreste society in Greater Noida West got submerged in water. Apart from this, an unfortunate incident reported in Sirsa Village under site 4 area in which a two-story house got collapsed calming two lives. However, the incident has happened before Tuesday rain. Still, as per the Indian Meteorological Department, there was a rain deficit in Greater Noida.
