New Delhi: Tomorrow Aam Aadmi Party will be holding a protest at the Haryana and Punjab Bhawan alleging BJP government of not taking concern of increasing pollution in Delhi.
APP leader Gopal Rai alleged that that stubble burning from the neighbouring states is affecting the air quality. He said, “As we all know, smoke from stubble burning started entering Delhi quite early this year. It used to normally start around the last week of October, but it has started in the first week of October this year. The level of the smoke is also much higher this year.”
Giving references of photographs taken by NASA satellites, he claimed that in the photographs it is clearly visible that the smoke of stubble burning is heading towards Delhi. The data also confirms the stubble burning has increased in last couple of days.
BJP just want to do politics on the lives of Delhi people, they want to increase pollution as they will get a chance to attack us and more opportunity to make statements said AAP leaders.
“The Delhi government is committed to implement the GRAP. Delhi is the only state to implement GRAP unlike other neighbouring cities like Ghaziabad, Gurugram,Faridabad where the agencies have no control over the cities. Delhi is the only state where the people are collectively trying to reduce pollution in the state. Strict action will be taken against violators,” he added.
