RWA representatives from across the country to hold Conference demanding constitutional rights for RWA

New Delhi : For the first time in Delhi, 7th National conference of RWAs will be held on November 16-17, at Andhra Association Bhawan, Lodhi Road. The conference will be inaugurated by the Minister of State for Home Affairs Krishna Reddy and the chief guest for the event will be Minister of State (I/C) for Housing & Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri.

While Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Goyal, Ex Union Minister Dr Mahesh Sharma, Administrative officials and RWA’s form different state all across the country will be participating in the conference as detailed by the Chief Secretary UDA.

The conference will focus on swachhata, solid waste disposal, single brand plastic, water conservation, encroachment-free footpaths among other such issues.

Interacting with Ten News, Convener of the conference, Col Tajander Pal Tyagi said “This will be a historic conference, and we will pass a resolution under which we will demand constitutional rights for the RWA’s. Around 150 members of different federation will be participating in the conference.”

Further he added that “We will also talk about interconnecting rivers and making army training compulsory in the schools.

Focusing on the conservation of water, a book will also be distributed among the participants. Apart from this, 2 IAS and one IPS officer will also be facilitated for doing commendable job in their field. 18 RWA’s selected from across the country will also be facilitated.

RWA representatives from across the country will put forth their views on these issues.
