Will write to British MPs to stop UK PM from visiting India till farmers’ demands are met: Sandhu

Farmer leader from Punjab, Kulwant Singh Sandhu on Tuesday said that the protesting farmers will be writing to British MPs to stop UK Prime Minister Borris Johnson from visiting India, till the demands of protesting farmers are met.

"The UK PM is scheduled to visit India on 26th January. We are writing to British MPs asking them to stop the UK PM from visiting India till the time farmers’ demands are not met by the Indian government," Kulwant Singh Sandhu, farmer leader from Punjab at Singhu border said in a press conference.

Talking about their strategy for communication with the central government, he added, "In today’s meeting, it was decided what decision will be taken on the proposal sent by the Centre".

UK PM Borris Johnson has accepted the invite to attend India’s Republic Day as the Chief Guest.
