Additional 100 beds at GIMS are almost ready : Narendra Bhooshan Nodal Officer Covid19

In a text message, Narendra Bhooshan Nodal Officer for Covid19 in the Gautam Buddh Nagar district informed in the Parichowk.com group that additional 100 beds in GIMS are almost ready to operate. “We are waiting for few doctors and nursing staff to join. We are trying our best to start atleast 25 beds tomorrow so that GIMS capacity can increase from 250 to 350 within a week. We are planning bed capacity expansion in few other hospitals as well,” he said.

“All these beds will be L2 / non ventilator, but atleast 50% will be oxygen beds, which we will slowly convert to 100% when oxygen supply improves next week,” he added.

He further requested everyone to contribute in combating the surge of Covid by following Covid appropriate behavior, which includes:

1. Wearing mask at all times
2. Maintaining two meters distance
3. Washing hands repeatedly
4. Staying home
