New Delhi, 19 August 2021: Indian Youth Congress, on Sadbhavna Diwas the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of the country, Bharat Ratna Late Sh. Rajiv Gandhi ji will organise a Photo exhibition in Delhi, and Sport Events, Cultural Events, Run for Nation, and Blood Donation Camps will be organised all across the country.
Shri Rajiv Gandhi ji was the architect of modern India, who worked towards making India strong and self-reliant, the country is still reaping the benefits of his vision. It is his foresight that has put India in the ranks of strong, modern nations. Under the leadership of Shri Rajiv Gandhi, India had touched the dimension of development. He focused on the upliftment of every section of the country and worked to strengthen them. Shri Rajiv Gandhi ji paved the way for development in the country through establishment of peace.
National President of Indian Youth Congress, Shri Srinivas BV ji said that “Hum Mai Hai Rajiv” which means Bharat Ratna Shri Rajiv Gandhi ji is with all of us even today, Shri Rajiv Gandhi ji, who became the Prime Minister at the age of 40, created modern India. Shri Rajiv Gandhi ji is called the architect of Digital India and the father of information technology and telecommunication revolution. On his initiative, the Indian telecommunication network was established, the network of telecommunications started from the city to the villages, so that the people of the village could also connect with the country and the world in terms of communication. In the eyes of the young Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi ji, the age limit to vote in the country was wrong. He took the initiative to make the age of the youth 18 years, so that they become more responsible and empowered towards the country by giving them the right to vote.
The National President of Indian Youth Congress, Shri Srinivas BV ji also said that Shri Rajiv Gandhi ji believed that industries cannot develop without the help of science and technology, in this sequence, he worked towards bringing computer revolution in the country. With this thinking that the institutions related to Panchayati Raj can do development work strongly, Shri Rajiv Gandhi ji strengthened the Panchayati Raj system in the country. Shri Rajiv Gandhi ji believed that until the Panchayati Raj system is not strong, then democracy cannot reach the lowest level. During his tenure, he prepared the complete proposal of Panchayati Raj system. Shri Rajiv Gandhi ji had laid the foundation of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas with this thinking that the children of the villages should also get excellent education. At present more than 1.80 lakh students are studying in 551 Navodaya Vidyalayas opened in the country. Shri Rajiv Gandhi also encouraged youth and sports. He even said that Shri Rajiv Gandhi ji was and will be the hero of the country, he will continue to be known for his martyrdom, his ideas, and as the architect of modern India.
Youth Congress’s National Media In-charge Rahul Rao said that the Indian Youth Congress workers across the country on Sadbhavna Diwas will be paying tributes to the former Prime Minister of India, Bharat Ratna Late. Shri Rajiv Gandhi ji, many programs like photo exhibition, cultural programs, sports programs, run for nation, blood donation camps will be done at the state level, district, assembly, and block level.
