New Delhi, 12th August 2022: The Delhi Police on Friday found 2000 live cartridges in New Delhi. This major security scare has been discovered ahead of Independence day.
As Delhi remains the centre of these festivities, the national capital has been put on alert. In regard with bullet recovery, six people have already been taken into custody, however, officials are yet to reveal more information on the case.
The Delhi Police has turned the city into a well-secured fortress with “flawless and foolproof” security arrangements owing to the upcoming Independence day. With intensified patrolling, regular checking, and verification of tenants and servants, the police have deployed over 10,000 police personnel along the Red Fort and routes to the venue, said the Special commissioner of police (law and order) Dependra Pathak.
On Monday, India will celebrate its 75th anniversary of independence, and many preparations have been made for the same. Police are on high alert in various areas due to security concerns.
